DNA fm 88.3

History
It all started on holiday in August 2005 at Waiheke Island, whilst listening to the community radio station broadcasting from the Lazy Lounge Cafe ‘Waiheke Wireless 88.2 FM’.
A wee while later we came up with the idea of starting our own community radio station for the people in Leigh.

We saved some cash and did some research. A year or so later a Transmitter, etc was ordered from the UK, it arrived and on that same day DNA fm was on-air but that was the easy part.

Since then through trial and tribulation we are now broadcasting throughout Leigh and the surrounding regions with a web site in place providing live streaming around the world. With several set weekly show presenters we recognize that the journey is about growth and natural process and are aware of everyone’s patience, support and generosity.

And of course there is the music!
